These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the websites, member portal, and communications provided by Dumont Volunteer Ambulance Corps ("DVAC", "we", "us"). By using our services or opting in to our text-message program, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services

DVAC operates a volunteer emergency medical services organization. Our websites and member portal support membership management, scheduling, training, and related administrative communications for our members and applicants.

SMS Messaging Program Terms

By opting in to DVAC Alerts, you agree to receive recurring SMS text messages from DVAC at the mobile number you provide.

• Message frequency varies, up to approximately 10 messages per month.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel. After you reply STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation and will not receive further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.
• Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (201) 384-1166 or info@dumontambulance.org.
• Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of volunteering, membership, or any service we provide.
• Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

The types of messages you may receive include shift assignment alerts, schedule-change alerts, certification and training expiration reminders, and administrative notices needed to staff emergency medical services.

Accounts and Eligibility

Accounts are intended for DVAC members, applicants, and authorized personnel. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse our services, including by attempting to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access, interfering with the operation of our systems, or using our services for unlawful purposes.

Disclaimers

Our websites and member portal are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. DVAC makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding their operation or availability. Text messages are delivered via third-party mobile carriers and networks and may be delayed or undelivered.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DVAC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services or participation in the text-message program.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
